Neurodivergent Communication Coaching
Neurodivergent minds often process information and express themselves in unique ways. That’s not a flaw—it’s a difference. But it can lead to:
-
Misread social cues
-
Difficulty organizing thoughts
-
Overstimulation in conversations
-
Struggles with impulsivity or rejection sensitivity (RSD)
If you’ve ever felt misunderstood, overwhelmed in conversations, or unsure how to express your thoughts clearly, you are not alone. Develop communication skills that actually work for your brain.
Whether you're looking to speak up in relationships, advocate for yourself, or feel heard and respected, you're in the right place.

We approach communication with compassion and practicality.
Family therapy without borders

Parenting while navigating ADHD, autism, stress, trauma, or anxiety can add unique challenges to relationships. We’re here to support families through these experiences.
Support for Parents & Caregivers
Why Family Communication Can Be Hard
Families are systems. When one person struggles, the whole system can feel the effects. Common issues include:
-
Emotional dysregulation (for parents or kids)
-
Rigid expectations or unspoken assumptions
-
Meltdowns or shutdowns
-
Misaligned communication styles
-
Unmet needs that get expressed through conflict
We’ll help you understand the root of these patterns—not just the surface behaviors.
We tailor sessions to your families needs, neurotypes, and values. Together we may explore:
-
Behavior decoding (what’s really going on beneath the surface)
-
Emotional regulation tools for adults and children
-
Communication scripts to reduce conflict
-
Boundaries and routines that honor individual needs
-
Conflict repair strategies that build trust

Let’s Make Home Feel Safer & Calmer
You don’t have to figure this out alone. We’re here to walk beside you—with warmth, strategy, and lived experience.

We offer a unique option of walk and talk counseling sessions whether in a city park or a hiking trail.

What is a Life Coach?
I am often asked: "What’s the difference between a Certified Life Coach and a Licensed Therapist?" While both are valuable, the roles are distinct—and together, they can be especially powerful. Therapy often focuses on healing the past, processing trauma, and addressing specific mental health concerns. Life Coaching, on the other hand, is all about moving forward. A Life Coach helps clients set and reach goals, build practical skills, create daily structure, and stay accountable—asking, “Where do I want to go, and how can I get there?”
The unique value of a Life Coach is the ability to truly understand the lived experience of anxiety, conflict, ADHD, autism, dyslexia, and more. Coaching provides affirming strategies, real-time practice, and support that works with your brain, not against it. It bridges the gap between therapy and daily life, while encouraging self-acceptance and strength-based growth.

Emily Norris, CLC
she/her
As a neurodiversity-affirming practitioner and committed ally to queer and gender-expansive communities, I understand the importance of creating spaces where every identity and every brain is respected and supported. With a background in biology, medicine, and alternative healing, my true strength lies in connecting with people.
As a parent and human, I’ve faced anxiety, loss, and struggle—and I’ve come to believe that within every challenge lies an opportunity. My work is rooted in both education and real-life experience, and I’m here to help you find clarity, strength, and growth through whatever you’re navigating.
Experience has shown me that with self exploration, honesty, and a willingness to be vulnerable, achieving a contented life will be less hard.
